Cost: $10

Materials

  • Foam Half-Round Balls - for this craft I bought foam small half-balls, but if you want to make larger ones you'll need large half-balls
  • Glue Craft - I like to use a clear dry tacky craft glue
  • Moss - The moss will be used to cover the hills and make them look like grass hills for the truffula trees to set into
  • Pinwheels - I found these fun cake topper pinwheels for this craft, but if you are making a larger truffula tree then you might want to get large pinwheels
  • Paper Straws - I used black and white striped paper straws for this craft, but you can use any design you like

Instructions

  • Add glue to the foam half-balls
  • Apply moss to the glue to cover the half-balls and make them look like a grassy hill
  • Cut the paper straw to fit over the toothpick on the pinwheel, leaving a little bit exposed on the bottom so you can push it into the foam
  • Insert the end of the toothpick into the center of the foam hill

Notes

Truffula trees are usually orange, yellow, pink, and purple. Try to find pinwheels with those colors or shades of them
