Notes

Can I make these turkey treats ahead of time?

Yes! These Thanksgiving treats are a great treat to make 1 day ahead. The only possible setback you might have is if your Hershey’s kiss has a sugar bloom – overnight. That will discolor the chocolate by making it look like it has specks of white on the chocolate

Recommended: Make these the morning of your fun party or event. This way, the chocolate won’t have much time to react to a possible sugar bloom

What is a Sugar Bloom?

Sugar bloom is the sugar coming into contact with moisture and dissolving, then as the chocolate hardens, the sugar sets again and settles at the top of the chocolate making it look like it has white spots

How Do I Prevent Sugar Bloom?

Try to avoid drastic changes in temperature and do not store the chocolate in a moist place

How do I Store these Cookie Turkeys?

Store these Thanksgiving turkeys at room temperature for a couple of days. They do not have to be covered
