  • crayons or markers
  • scissors
  • laminator or clear packing tape
  • small plastic container or tray
  • potting soil
  • grass seed
  • water

HOW TO MAKE THE GRASS HOUSE

  1. Print the house template.
  2. Let kids color the house however they like.
  3. Carefully cut around the house outline.
  4. Laminate the house or cover both sides with clear tape for protection.
  5. Fill a small plastic container with soil.
  6. Sprinkle grass seed on top and lightly cover with soil.
  7. Insert the laminated house into the soil.
  8. Water lightly and place in a sunny spot.

Teacher Tip: Wheat Grass grows quickly and works great for projects like this.

Within a few days, kids will start seeing their grass grow
