Tips and Tricks for Making this Taco Ring…
- Make sure crescent rolls are cold
- Unroll the crescent rolls and gently pull the triangles apart
- Start in the center of the baking sheet facing the triangles the same way and overlapping them
- Keep the center open for fillings
- Cool taco ring and cut into individual portions before transferring onto a platter for serving
How do you Make a Taco Ring Appetizer?
- Cook the ground meat – drain if necessary
- Add taco seasoning and water
- Cook down until thick
- Mix in the shredded cheese
- Unfold the crescent rolls into individual triangles
- Using a baking sheet covered with parchment paper – spread the crescent dough triangles out so the widest part is in the center with the points hanging over the edge. Triangles should all face the same direction and overlap each other. There should be a circle opening in the middle of the pan
- Spread the taco meat and cheese combination onto the dough ring – placing it on the widest part of the crescent dough
- Fold the skinny parts of the crescent dough over the meat and tuck it under the center ring
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes
- When your ring is finished you can cut individual pieces and transfer it to a serving dish and place lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and olives in the center
- Provide small plates and forks
