How to Make an All About Me Ice Cream Cone

Step 1: Print the All About Me Worksheet

Print one copy of the ice cream cone template for each child.

The printable includes five ice cream scoops and one cone.

Step 2: Answer the All About Me Questions

Have kids write an answer to the question on each ice cream scoop.

Younger children may need help writing their answers. An adult can also write down their responses for them.

Step 3: Color the Ice Cream Scoops

Now comes the fun part!

Kids can color each scoop of ice cream in their favorite colors. They can make every scoop a different color as I did or design their ice cream cone however they’d like.

Color the cone brown.

Step 4: Cut Out the Pieces

Carefully cut around each ice cream scoop and the cone.

For younger children, an adult may want to help with cutting around some of the curved edges.

Step 5: Build the Ice Cream Cone

Arrange the five ice cream scoops above the cone.

Stack the scoops so that the bottom edges overlap slightly, creating one very tall ice cream cone.

Once you’re happy with the arrangement, glue the pieces together.

There are lots of ways to use this activity beyond simply completing the printable.

First day of school: Have students complete their ice cream cones as a quiet activity while everyone is settling into the classroom.
