Halloween Monster Cheeseburgers

When Halloween rolls around, I absolutely love to celebrate. It’s one of my favorite holidays to make fun treats like these Day of the Dead Sugar Cookies, Pretzel Witch Fingers, and Halloween Coffin Sandwiches.

These monster burgers are the perfect addition to all of my fun Halloween party treats.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • cooked hamburger
  • hamburger bun
  • pickles – sliced
  • cheese slice
  • ketchup
  • shredded lettuce
  • green olives with pimento

Equipment Needed

How to Make Monster Cheeseburgers

Make Monster Parts:

Teeth – While your burgers are cooking, use a knife to make a jagged edge on one side of the cheese.

Eyes – Push toothpicks into the sides of the olives to make the eyes

Assembling the burger:

Place the cooked burger onto the bottom of the bun

Add a pickle to the burger so that it hangs off of it

Add the cheese teeth

Squeeze ketchup onto the cheese, near the teeth

Pile up some lettuce

Place the top of the bun onto the lettuce

Push the toothpick eyes into the top of the hamburger bun

Variations

Veggie Burgers – Use veggie patties for a veggie-friendly monster burger

Mini Monsters – Make slider burgers for mini monster burgers

Gross Monsters – Add mayonnaise in place of the ketchup for a white froth and squeeze ketchup on top of the lettuce so when you push down on the bun, it oozes down.

You can prep the monster burger. Make the cheese teeth and olive eyes. Store them covered in the refrigerator for a few days prior.

Any variety of sliced cheese will work for this Monster Cheeseburger. I used American, but Mozzarella and Provolone also work well, because the can be easily cut.

Sure! While you cook the burgers, kids can use a plastic knife to cut cheese teeth, and they can assemble their own burgers.

Storing

Storing: If you have leftovers, you can store the burgers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
