Rainbow Sugar Cookies

I love making party food ideas. They add such a level of excitement to any celebration and event. Like these Rainbow Chocolate Covered Strawberries , A Rainbow Jell-O Poke Cake , and Make a Rainbow Fruit Loop Necklace  that is a fun edible craft.

These cookies are the easiest cookies to make for your rainbow-themed party foods. I used the sugar cookie dough I bought at the store to make these super easy. If you love to bake, you can easily substitute your sugar cookie for store-bought.

Ingredients

  • Refrigerated Cookie Dough 24 cookies
  • blue frosting – I used Pillsbury Funfetti Aqua Blue
  • Rainbow Sweet Tarts Ropes
  • Miniature marshmallows

How to make Rainbow Sugar Cookies

  • Bake sugar cookies and cool completely
  • Spread frosting on each cookie
  • Cut the ropes in half
  • Bend the rope half to form a rainbow and place it on the cookie (leaving room on the outside edge for a marshmallow)
  • Add three marshmallows around the ends of the rope to represent clouds.

How long will these rainbow sugar cookies last?

  • You can make sugar cookies with frosting up to a few days before. However, marshmallows tend to go stale when exposed to room temperature. Try to wait until the day of your party to add the candy and marshmallows.

How should I store my Sugar Cookies?

  • Baked and frosted sugar cookies should be stored at room temperature in an airtight container.
