Christmas-themed wafer candies

Equipment You’ll Need
Wax paper
Fork for dipping
How to Make these Snowglobe Cookies
Dip the Oreos
Melt the white chocolate according to package instructions.
Use a fork to dip each Oreo into the melted chocolate, fully coating it. You might need to turn the cookie over a couple of times.

Using the fork, lift the cookie up to the side of the bowl and tap the excess chocolate off of the cookie.

Set on wax paper to cool slightly.
Create the Stand
Immediately press a mini Reese’s cup against the bottom of the Oreo. This will serve as the “base” so your snow globe can stand upright.

Decorate Your Snow Globes
While the chocolate is still soft, decorate with Christmas wafers and small white sprinkles to resemble snow inside the globe.

Let Them Set
Allow the chocolate to fully harden before moving or serving. Your Oreo Snow Globes should stand upright and hold their shape beautifully.

Variations
Chocolate Colors:
Swap white chocolate for milk, dark, or even colored candy melts to match your holiday theme. Red or green Oreos can make the treat extra festive.
Base Options:
Instead of a Rolo candy, which is a peanut-free option.
Decorative Toppings:
Mix up your snow globe decorations with sugar Christmas decorations, edible glitter, or holiday-themed sprinkles.
Themed Holidays:
These aren’t just for Christmas! Swap sprinkles and wafers for hearts on Valentine’s Day, or pastel candies for Easter-themed Oreo globes.
What to Serve With
Hot cocoa or warm milk for dipping
A holiday dessert platter with cookies, brownies, or pretzels
Mini fruit or candy platters to balance the sweetness
FAQs
Can I make these ahead of time?
Yes! Make them a day or two in advance and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Can I use other chocolate colors?
Absolutely! White chocolate works best for the “snow globe” effect, but milk or dark chocolate can also be fun.
What is a Peanut-Free Alternative to the Reese’s Base?
I think a Rolo candy would be a great option for a base to this cookie.
Storing Your Oreo Snow Globes
Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days. Make sure the chocolate is fully set before stacking or storing.
Avoid Refrigeration: Refrigerating can cause the chocolate to sweat or lose its smooth finish.
Freezing: These treats are not ideal for freezing, as the chocolate may crack or become brittle when thawed.
