Notes

Can I Make these Candy Cane Reindeer Treats Ahead of Time?

Yes! This is a great make-ahead treat. You can make these reindeer treats a couple of weeks in advance or your event

Storage: Store candy can reindeer in an airtight container at room temperature

What Kind of Chocolate Can I Use to Dip my Candy Canes in?

I like to use either chocolate almond bark or chocolate melting wafers

How do you Melt Chocolate Melts?

I like to place the amount of chocolate I think I’ll need into a glass microwave-proof bowl. I microwave the chocolate on high for 1 minute. Then, I use a silicone utensil to stir the chocolate. Finally, I place it back into the microwave for 30 more seconds and stir until smooth

Tips and Tricks:

  • use wax paper to set melted chocolate onto dry
  • silicone utensils are great non-stick utensils to use when working with chocolate
  • place decorations onto the chocolate treat before the chocolate dries
  • you can also use a red Sixlet candy for the nose
