FAQs

Make Ahead and Storage:

Can I make these Christmas brownies ahead of time?

Yes. You can make these brownies several days in advance.

Storing: Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature

Freezing: Technically, you can freeze frosted brownies, but the frosting will change texture upon thawing. I would not recommend freezing these brownies. The candy eyes, nose, and pretzels will take on moisture changing the texture and look of the candies

Tips and Tricks

  • I used a milk chocolate brownie mix that I found in the baking aisle of my grocery store, but you could make homemade brownies if you wanted to
  • Milk chocolate is what I chose for this recipe because I did not want a fudge texture. I wanted the brownies to be firm and not mushy in texture
  • You can usually find candy eyes in the cake decorating aisles of craft stores, but you can also find them on Amazon
