My family loves to go to Cracker Barrel. It reminds us of Tennessee, where my first three were born and I truly miss.
Next to biscuits and gravy, the hashbrown casserole there is one of my favorite sides to get.

- shredded cheddar cheese

Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Casserole {Best Copy Cat!}
Ingredients
- 1 30 oz. bag of shredded hash browns - thawed
- ½ cup of butter - unsalted - melted
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 small - sweet white onion - chopped
- 1 pound of shredded cheddar cheese - divided
- 1 tsp. of table salt
- ½ tsp. of ground black pepper
- 1 cup of sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Grease your 8x10 inch baking dish
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the onion, soup, salt, pepper, and most of the shredded cheese (reserving 1 cup of cheese for the topping)
- Add the sour cream and mix in
- Now, Pour the melted butter in
- Add hashbrowns, and stir until combined
- Spread the casserole mixture into your greased pan
- Bake for 45 minutes
- Sprinkle on the reserved cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes

- Storing leftovers - cover and refrigerate for up to 4 days
- Heat by baking, covered in foil until warmed through, or place individual portions on a microwavable plate and microwave until heated through
