It may not feel like just yet it but Halloween is just around the corner. These Ghost Marshmallows are the perfect fun treat to celebrate the holiday with the kids. Easy to make and so much fun.
Ghost Marshmallows
This is a fun treat to let the kids help with. They can spoon out the chocolate and even help with the chocolate eyes.
Or, make them yourself as a fun party or after school treat.

How Long Will Chocolate Covered Marshmallows Last?
- Chocolate covered marshmallows that are sitting on the counter at room temperature should last at least one week. A word of caution: If there is a large fluctuation in temperature, chocolate tends to get a little discolored.
How Should I Store Chocolate Covered Marshmallows?
- Store chocolate covered marshmallows at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or longer
How far ahead can I make chocolate covered marshmallows?
- Chocolate covered marshmallows are easily made 1 week in advance. However, be careful to store them at room temperature. The moisture and cold air will discolor the chocolate.

PrintGhost Marshmallows {So Cute & Easy!} | Kid Friendly Things To Do
Easy to make Ghost Marshmallows for a fun Halloween treat.
Ingredients
- Marshmallows – large but not jumbo
- White Melting Chocolate or bark
- Mini chocolate chips
Other Equipment:
- Wax Paper
- Spoon
- Glass microwave proof bowl
Instructions
- Melt chocolate melts in the microwave – I like to place the melts into a bowl and microwave for 1 minute then stir until smooth. Add 10 – 30 more seconds if needed
- Place marshmallows sitting upright and spaced out on wax paper
- Spoon white melted chocolate over the top of each marshmallow and let the chocolate start to harden (you may have to coax it to drizzle down the sides)
- After the chocolate has cooled off, but before it is completely hard (still soft and a little melted) push the 2 mini chocolate chips into the ghosts (push them in – flat side out)
Notes
Store chocolate marshmallows on the counter for up to 2 weeks – you can use an airtight container, but it’s not necessary
This is adorable! I’ve been looking for a Halloween treat to make with my kids and they will love this. We’ve made marshmallow snowmen before, but not ghosts!
Aww…I’m so happy that you plan on making these ghosts with the kids. How fun!
