“I Heart You” Valentine Jello Squares

I love the way the red heart pops out of the white jello in this Valentine Jello! So cute!

I just love the way the red hearts pop out of the white jello!

  • 3 large boxes of red jello (6oz. ea.)
  • 4 cups of boiling water
  • 10x10 pan – greased
  • Heart Cookie Cutter
  • 2 packages of Knox unflavored Gelatin
  • 1/2 cup of cold water
  • 1&1/2 cups of boiling water
  • 1 (14 oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 9x13 pan – greased

  1. Use a large saucepan to boil 4 cups of water
  2. Add the Red Jello and stir for a few minutes until it is completely dissolved
  3. Pour into your greased 10×10 pan (9×9) would also work
  4. Refrigerate for a few hours – making sure it is nice and firm like a jello jiggler
  5. Use a knife to loosed the edges of the jello and invert it onto a cutting board lined with wax paper
  6. Cut 6 hearts out of the red jello and place the hearts into the 9×13 pan
  7. Pour the cold water into a spouted bowl
  8. Add the unflavored gelatin packs by sprinkling them over the cold water
  9. Let stand for 1 minute
  10. While that is setting up, boil the 1&1/2 cups of water in a saucepan
  11. Pour the boiling water over the gelled gelatin
  12. Add the condensed milk and stir in
  13. Let it cool off to room temperature
  14. Pour into the 9×13 pan – do not pour directly onto the hearts
  15. Stop before you are even with the hearts, so the hearts are slightly higher than the white jello
  16. You will probably have white jello left over
  17. Chill for a couple more hours
  18. When ready, cut into squares and serve!

  • *Mayonnaise make the best natural grease for jello! Just put a little dab on some paper towel and rub around the pan!
