chocolate will harden within five minutes at room temperature. A colder room will dry chocolate almost instantly and the refrigerator or freezer will also speed up drying time

Equipment

  • 12 lollipop sitkcs
  • toothpick

Ingredients

  • 1 12 oz. Brown melting chocolate like browm almond bark or melting wafers
  • 12 square marshmallows – sometimes called campfire marshmallows
  • 12 whopper candy
  • 24 candy eyes
  • 12 orange M&M or Resee's candy
  • 60 Candy Corn 5 per turkey

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate according to the package directions
  • insert lollipop sticks into marshmallows
  • dip the marshmallow into the chocolate – coating all sides
  • set the chocolate covered marshmallow onto wax paper to dry
  • continue with the rest of your marshmallows
  • once the chocolate has started to cool but hasn’t completely firmed up – place a whopper on the middle of the marshmallow’s surface
  • add candy corn all around it – fanning out
  • using your toothpick, add a dot of melted chocolate to the back of the candy eyes
  • hold them onto the whopper candy until they stick without holding
  • let the chocolate completely dry and harden before moving marshmallow pops
