Start with the cocktail pick: The white pearl-like ball at the top will represent the pom-pom of the Grinch’s Santa hat.

Add the strawberry hat: Push a strawberry-curved side up – beneath the white ball tip to form the main part of the hat.

Add the marshmallow trim: Cut a large marshmallow in half. Slide one half under the strawberry to act as the fluffy brim of the hat.

Add the Grinch face: Push a green grape onto the pick next, underneath the marshmallow. This becomes the Grinch’s little green face.

Serve and enjoy: Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.

Expert Tips

Dry the strawberries well so they don’t slide off the pick.

Use firm grapes—softer grapes may split when pushed onto the pick.

Cut marshmallows with kitchen shears dipped in cornstarch to prevent sticking.

Make them shortly before serving for the best freshness and texture.

Use uniform fruit sizes to help every skewer stand upright on a platter.

Variations

Drizzle option: Lightly drizzle with white chocolate for a dessert-style twist.

Hat Tip: Use a mini marshmallow in place of the white ball cocktail pick.

FAQs

Can I make Grinch fruit skewers ahead of time?
Yes—assemble them up to 2–3 hours in advance and refrigerate. Toss grapes in lemon juice to prevent browning.

What kind of toothpicks work best?
Cocktail picks with a white pearl or round ball on top look most like Santa’s hat. Wooden picks also work, but won’t have the “pom-pom” effect.

Do the marshmallows get sticky?
Cut marshmallows can be a little sticky.

Can kids make these?
Absolutely! Just supervise with sharp picks.
