Banana Bread Bars
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter unsalted softened
- 1&1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs beaten
- ¾ cup buttermilk if you don’t have buttermilk – add a little lemon juice to your milk and let sit for 5 minutes – Voila’ Buttermilk!
- 2 bananas overly ripe
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour all-purpose
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
Cream Cheese Topping
- 2 8 oz. cream cheese
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 Tbsp orange juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 13 x 9 pan
- In a large mixing bowl – Cream the butter and sugar together
- Add the eggs milk, bananas, sour cream, & vanilla
- Add flour, salt and soda
- Pour into your prepared pan
- Bake for 30 minutes. Take out and allow to cool down
- While that’s cooling mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and orange juice
- Spread onto the banana bread
- Cut into bars
- Enjoy!
