What you’ll love about this recipe:
Ingredients You’ll Need

Prebaked and cooled cupcakes
Blue frosting – to make a legit Perry the Platypus cupcake, you’ll need to find teal. I think blue is perfectly fine, but you might want a more authentic color.
Nutter Butters
Vanilla Wafers
Candy Eyes
Black icing in a piping bag with a writing tip or tube with a writing tip.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Frost the Cupcakes:
Let your cupcakes cool completely before applying the blue frosting. Spread the frosting with a knife or a silicone spatula for a smooth look.
2. Add the Tail:
Push a Nutter Butter into the back of the cupcake, angling it slightly so it resembles a tail sticking out behind the cupcake.
3. Make the Beak:
Press a Vanilla Wafer into the front of the cupcake to make the beak

4. Add the Eyes:
Press two candy eyes above the beak.
5. Add Hair
Use black frosting and a writing tip to make a three-point piece of hair at the top of the cupcake.

Pro-Tip
Make sure you fill the cupcake wrapper 3/4 of the way so the cupcake puffs up over the wrapper. You will need the tall cake as a base for the cookies.
Consider using a heavy paper wrapper, like a foil cupcake wrapper, for even more support.
If you can’t find candy eyes, use chocolate chips. Push them tip side first into the frosting.
Variation
Add a Fedora: Create a Fedora by adding a Rolo caramel candy to a Vanilla wafer.
