There is no dessert, for my kids, that compares to the excitement they had over the anticipation of this homemade vanilla ice cream! There were many, many taste tests as we made it together, so they knew it was going to be delicious. Oh, the agony of taking it out of the freezer too early, and having to put it back. Torture!

This homemade ice cream was so much fun to make with the kids. No churning. Just stir the ingredients, and pop it into the freezer! The kids could't wait to try it. Definitely their favorite dessert all summer, and great memories made together.

Do your kids fight over who’s next?! I have to plan ahead with them, so they each have a job. And, heaven forbid someone doesn’t get to crack an egg! Thank God this recipe needs 4 eggs! I need more recipes like that in my life.

I have to be on my toes when I cook with the kids. They are constantly trying to stick a spoon or finger in their creation. What you don’t see is the girls waiting with 4 spoons, behind me!

Finally! The waiting is over. I think the grandparents were just as excited to see the homemade ice cream on the menu as the kids were!
