Jalapeno & Cilantro Deviled Eggs…
I made these jalapeno deviled eggs a few years ago. My nephews were loading up their plates. Don’t you love it when you see that happen? We love holidays at our house. Usually, the best part about getting together is enjoying all of the delicious appetizers, and holiday foods. Easter recipes are always so much fun. You can use fresh or pickled jalapeno slices. I’ve used both. I happen to love pickled jalapeno on everything I eat, so that’s my preference. It gives it a relish-type flavor and a little bitty kick.

Cilantro, however, I prefer fresh. You just don’t really get the flavor from dries or partially dried cilantro.

Even though fresh cilantro is my favorite way to go, it’s not quite warm enough for my herb garden. I used partially dried cilantro this time, which is a great substitute in a pinch.

Spicy Jalapeno & Cilantro Deviled Eggs Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. Jalapeno Slices – chopped
- 1 tbsp. Stone Ground Mustard
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp. Minced fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Peel the hard-boiled eggs, and cut in half
- Place the white portion in your deviled egg tray
- Place the yolks into a medium sized mixing bowl, and mash
- Add the rest of the ingredients, reserving 1 Tblsp. of cilantro
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg whites, and sprinkle the cilantro on top for decoration and more flavor
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve
