Tomato Glaze is a nice change from Sweet Glazes

  • 1 Tblsp. butter
  • 2 Tblsp. minced sweet onion, like Vidalia
  • 1 8 oz. can of tomato sauce
  • 2 Tblsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Worcesetershire Sauce

  1. Using a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
  2. Add onions and cook until tender, stirring occasionally – about 3-5 min.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, sugar, and Worcestershire Sauce
  4. Bring the sauce to a boil, and cook for a few minutes until the glaze thickens up a bit
  5. Remove from heat
  6. When your ham is about 30 minutes away from done, start brushing the ham with the glaze over 2 or 3 times each brushing
  7. Continue to do glaze ham during the last 30 minutes, a few more times
