These pies sadly, are not going to make it to the Thanksgiving dinner. Nope! The poor things never had a chance! They were knocked off one by one. Devoured is more like it. Once you taste one of these cute little Mayflower Pecan Pies, you’ll get it. They are so yummy.  How could we resist?!

These little pies are so darn cute. They are going to look adorable on your Thanksgiving table!

Hopefully you can resist their charm, and they will make it to your Thanksgiving table. 😉

Here’s what you’ll need to make these Mayflower Pies: (yields 12 pies)

  • Cupcake Foil Pans – 2 six packs
  • 1 box of refrigerated pie crust (2 pie crusts) – or use my handy, dandy easy pie crust recipe here
  • 4 Tbsp. of melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of pecans 
  • optional – 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 6 in. skewers or wooden dowels
  • white card stock or construction paper  cut into 2″ x 2″(I found dowels & paper at Michael’s Craft Store)

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Cut the cupcake cups out of the 6 pack
  • Fold the edges down

  • Roll out your pie dough
  • Make 6 round balls per crust, by rolling them up like play-dough and then flattening them out to about 3 in. wide circles

  • Place the round crusts into each liner, and then squish the pan so it resembles a boat

  • Mix your Pecan Pie Batter up by using a large bowl, and adding the butter, sugar, syrup, vanilla, slat, eggs, pecans and optional chocolate chips

  • Fill each ship with batter – pretty much all the way to the top
  • Set the ships on a lined cookie sheet
  • Bake for about 35 minutes or until the batter is set

  • Make sails by inserting your skewers into your square pieces of white paper
  • Insert those into your pies
