I can’t believe you did not include the time honored Betty Crocker Bunny salad in your collection! I still make it to this day and my grandkids love it. a simple canned pear halve, plated on a leaf of butter lettuce, a scoop of cottage cheese for a tail, a couple raisins for eyes, some almond slices for ears and a half a marashino cherry for a nose. over the years i upgraded with a bed of shredded carrots and lettuce, a fresh strawberry for a nose, apple slices for ears. Served with a french or thousand island dressing.
You’re right, Carol! The classics are always my favorite go to ideas and recipes. I think I found a Betty Crocker Bunny tutorial similar to what you are talking about. I added the link – just for you. I remember my mom made something similar, but I think they were mice. So fun!
