  • INEXPENSIVE – This fun snack is made with simple and budget-friendly ingredients.

Ingredients You’ll Need

campfire snack ingredients
  • Block of Cheese – Any type of yellow or orange colored cheese will work great
  • Mini Pretzel Sticks
  • Grapes – Green and Red seedless
  • Paper Plate

Equipment Needed

Knife or Flame Cookie Cutter: I used a sharp knife to cut the cheese into flame shapes, but as long as the slices are thin, a plastic butter knife works just as well, making it safe and easy for kids to help.

Expert Tips

Use semi-firm cheese so that upon cutting, it won’t crumble apart

Let the cheese warm slightly for easier cutting

Variation

Flames: Use red and orange bell peppers, cantaloupes, or dried mango as flames in place of cheese

Cracker Base: You’ll have to find a large round cracker to fit everything, but it will make this snack transportable.

Logs: Use veggie sticks in place of pretzel sticks
