Cheesy Garlic Bread

Over the past month, I have made these warm cheesy bread loaves for three different holiday occasions. But, this is the first time I was able to snap a picture before they were devoured. These are seriously delicious. And, the fun thing is, you can change the toppings to whatever “floats your boat”! Have fun with it.

It’s no secret that I love a good bread recipe. This Jalapeno Cornbread recipe is a reader favorite and one of ours, too. I grew up eating biscuits like this one at my aunt’s house in Alabama. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy these recipes as much as my family does.

What I love about this recipe:

  • it’s so easy to make
  • this bread can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it. Keep it simple with just cheese, or add loads of toppings
  • cheesy bread is an excellent side to pasta or a great appetizer for holidays
  • the perfect finger food for your game day party

FAQs

Make-Ahead and Storage:

Can you make Cheesy Garlic Bread ahead of time?

This bread is best when served warm and recently out of the oven. Of course, once it’s cooled off, it’s still delicious.

To make this bread one day before your party, spread the cheesy mixture onto the sliced bread. Cover with non-stick foil and refrigerate. Just before your party, uncover the bread and broil until golden and bubbly.

Can Cheesy Garlic Bread be Frozen?

I would not freeze this particular bread. It has a mayonnaise spread which probably will not keep its texture when frozen.

Tips and Tricks:

  • for a fun, easy, and delicious appetizer bread bite, add toppings to your garlic bread. I love artichoke hearts and roasted red pepper on this bread. Just add it to the top before you set it in the oven
  • be careful that your bread doesn’t go from golden and bubbly to black and burnt. It’s amazing how fast something can look just about right under the broiler to overcooked.
