Easy Grilled S’mores Burritos { 3 ways} The best! | Kid Friendly Things To Do

grilled S'more burrito

Perfect for summer, these S’mores burritos are always a big hit!

Ingredients

Scale

Classic S’more Burrito: (variations below in notes)

  • 1 burrito sized tortilla
  • 1 ft. long piece of foil – I used heavy-duty foil
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 – full bar of Hershey’s bar
  • 1 square of graham cracker – (half of a full bar)
  • optional: butter-flavored cooking spray or melted butter
  • optional – cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  • preheat the grill to medium heat
  • place the foil on your work surface
  • to the foil, add a burrito shell
  • next – the marshmallows
  • then, scatter chocolate pieces over the marshmallows
  • add broken up and crumbled graham crackers
  • roll the burrito up with the seal facing down
  • optional, but recommended: spray both sides of the burrito with butter-flavored cooking spray or brush with melted butter
  • seal the foil over the burrito making a foil tent
  • over indirect heat – place the foil packet
  • check on the burrito in about 5 minutes. The bottom should not be burnt but should be crisp. If it needs to crisp up a little bit more, leave it on the grill for an additional 2 minutes
  • remove from heat, slice into 2 halves and enjoy

Notes

Making a Foil Tent:

  1. Cut one piece of aluminum foil about twice the length of the food to be wrapped. Be generous with the length of the foil.
  2. Place the food in the middle of the foil sheet
  3. Pull the opposite side of the foil up, above the food, and fold the ends over making a crease at the top. Fold this two more times – leaving plenty of air space between the food and the double folded top of the foil
  4. Pinch the ends of the foil and fold toward the center making tight seals

Cinnamon Sugar topping:

  • brush burrito with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar

Serving:

  • This burrito can get messy, wrap burrito halves in leftover foil or use a paper plate to serve on

Variations:

Strawberry –

  • Omit the graham cracker and add 2-3 sliced strawberries to the marshmallows and chocolate

Peanut Butter –

  • spread creamy peanut butter over the inside of the burrito covering the center – about half of the burrito, add marshmallows and chocolate
