  • lemon-lime soda – I used a can of Sprite, but 7Up, Moutain Dew, or a generic form of lemon-lime would do fine

How do you make Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings?

Instructions:

  1. Butter a 9×11 baking dish
  2. Unwrap and separate the crescent roll dough
  3. Peel, core, and slice your Granny Smith apples into wedges
  4. Place apple slices onto the wide section of each triangle of dough and roll them up around the apple
  5. Place rolled dumplings seam side down into the baking dish
  6. In a small saucepan over medium heat make the caramel sauce with butter, brown sugar, and vanilla
  7. Pour the sauce over the rolls
  8. Now, pour the lemon-lime soda in between the rolls
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
  10. Optional: sprinkle with cinnamon

  • 2 cans of crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup of butter (unsalted) – 1 whole stick
  • 1&1/2 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of Sprite or other similar soda

  • preheat your oven to 350 degrees and butter a 9×11 baking dish
  • peel, core, and slice apples into 8 equal wedges
  • unroll crescent dough and place an apple slice near the bottom (wide) section
  • roll the crescent dough around the apple slice and place seam side down onto the buttered baking dish
  • repeat with the rest of the apples and triangle dough pieces
  • in a small saucepan, heat the butter until melted
  • add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved
