Reindeer Cupcakes
I love making holiday treats. There are so many cute possibilities for Christmas party treats. From gingerbread cupcakes, to Santa cheese boards, to Ornament Brownies. These Rudolph cupcakes
You’ll notice that I used a star tip to make my reindeer fur for these Christmas reindeer cupcakes. I thought the effect looked like a furry reindeer. You can, however, just spread your frosting on. I’m sure it will look just as cute.
What You’ll Love about these Rudolph Reindeer Cupcakes
- Even though there are plenty of reindeer cupcakes for Christmas out there, these are unique. I’ve never seen one tangled in Christmas lights making these a new and fun version of the classic Rudolph cupcakes.
- They are so easy to make – The kids can help make them as a Christmas food craft.
- You can make them ahead of time and store them covered at room temperature for a few days. However, the fresher they are, the better, so ideally, serve them within a day.
Ingredients for these Reindeer Cupcakes
- Cupcakes baked, cooled, and ready to decorate – When I’m in a hurry, as I’m sure you are around the Christmas season, I like to use boxed cupcake mixes. You can use your favorite homemade cupcake recipe or use a box cake mix like I did
- Chocolate Frosting – This will be used to make reindeer fur. I think the star tip makes a nice furry reindeer affect
- Candy Eyes – You can find these at most grocery stores
- Pretzel Twists – Mini pretzel twists are used for the reindeer ears on this cupcake
- Thin Reese’s – This is used as the reindeer nose base. If you don’t want to use something with peanut butter, then you can also use a chocolate melting wafer, an Oreo cookie, or a vanilla wafer cookie
- Red M&Ms or red Sixlets are for Rudolph’s nose. You can also use brown candy for the other reindeer. After all, Rudolph isn’t the only one carrying Santa around.
- White Frosting – I used white frosting for the Christmas light wire. If you want to use green instead, that would be really cute
- Sixlets – Christmas colors or Pastel colors for Christmas lights
Optional: Brown M&Ms for brown reindeer noses
