This Crescent Ring would be a great breakfast to set out on Christmas morning, or a good dessert for Christmas Eve dinner.
With the delicious combination of cream cheese and cherry filling this crescent ring is irresistible.
Tips for making a Cream Cheese Crescent Roll Ring…
- Face the wide ends of the crescent rolls all the same way
- The fruit will make the crescent roll slippery, so you can use a butter knife or straight edge spatula to help tuck the tip under the wide end
- You can substitute the almond extract for vanilla extract
- The filling can also be substituted with your favorite pie filling
What are some good fillings for a Cream Cheese Crescent Roll Ring?
- Apple Pie Filling

How Do You Store A Cream Cheese and Fruit Crescent Ring?
- Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven by baking on a parchment lined baking sheet at 350 degrees until heated through – up to 10 minutes
The Ingredients Needed for this Danish like ring…
(exact ingredient measurements and directions are in the printable below)
- crescent rolls – 2 cans are needed for this recipe
- softened cream cheese – I used regular, but you can substitute 1/3 less fat
- cherry pie filling – you’ll need 21 oz. – you can substitute other pie and cake filling flavors
- sugar – you’ll need 1/2 cup of granulated
- almond extract – you can substitute vanilla but I would suggest almond for the cherry filling. The pairing is delicious
- powdered sugar – this is for the glaze
- milk – just a small amount – use regular, skim or 2%sp
How Do You Make Cherry and Cream Cheese Crescent Roll Ring?
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Mix the cream cheese filling by beating the cream cheese, granulated sugar and extract
- Unroll the crescent roll and separate the triangles
- On a baking sheet or pizza pan lined with parchment paper make a ring with the crescent rolls by facing the crescent rolls the same way and placing the bottom of the triangles in a circle formation on the pan – you should have an empty circle in the center of the rolls with the tips of the triangles draping over the baking sheet
- Spoon the cherry filling onto the wide portion of the crescent roll
- Top the cherries with cream cheese filling
- Fold the pointed tips of the crescent over and push under the wide section – tucking them with a butter knife or similar utensil if necessary
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the ring is golden brown
- Mix the powdered sugar and milk
- Drizzle over ring and serve

I am going to make this for a holiday event. I am going to make it in the shape of a candy cane and see how that works.
You’ll love it! I hope the candy cane works out. I think that would be adorable. It has the perfect colors for it!
Very easy. Made it for Valentines in the shape of a heart. I spread the cream cheese first, then topped with the cherry filling.
I love that idea! What a delicious Valentine’s Day breakfast!
