Chocolate Dipped Oreo Footballs

This post may contain affiliate links – please read my disclosure statement.

Chocolate-dipped Oreo footballs are an easy, no-bake game-day treat made from round Oreo cookies, dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with simple white chocolate laces. They look adorable on a Super Bowl dessert board, and the kids absolutely love helping decorate them.

Unlike my football-shaped Oreo cookies, these football Oreo treats use classic round Oreos, which makes this method even faster — no special molds needed. Just dip, drizzle, and chill!

Expert Tips

  • Prevent Cracks: Use room temperature Oreos — cold cookies can crack in warm chocolate.
  • Chocolate Consistency: If your chocolate is too thick, add a small amount of shortening to smooth it out; however, this will make it take longer to dry and set up.
  • Cleaner Laces: If white chocolate is too thick to drizzle, add a tiny drop of vegetable oil or shortening to thin.

Variations

  • Golden Oreos for a fun twist
  • Mini Oreos for bite-sized footballs
  • Mint Oreos for St. Patrick’s Day + football crossover
  • Use colored sprinkles around the edges before they set
