What typically goes into a Chicken Pot Pie?
- Cubed chicken, frozen vegetables like green beans, carrots, lima beans, corn, peas, and potatoes. Some types of cream soup, milk, and seasoning are mixed with vegetables. A crust can be on top or on the top and bottom of the pot pie.
What are some add-ins for Chicken Pot Pie?
- Potatoes are a common add-in, but should probably be par-boiled before adding to the mixture. Otherwise, they may not cook all of the ways through
- Fresh spinach
- Canned mushrooms, drained
- Any frozen vegetable that is thawed and drained
How do you thicken Chicken Pot Pie?
- I typically use a cream-based soup mixed with soup to thicken the chicken pot pie
