Chewy and delicious bar cookies
- Prep Time: 15
- Cook Time: 30
- Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Crust
- 1/2 cup butter – unsalted
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of flour
Topping
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1&1/2 cup of shaved coconut
- optional – 1/2 cup of nuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, mix the crust ingredients together and spread out into a 9×12 pan
- Bake the crust for 15 min.
- In another bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients together and spread over the baked crust
- Bake for another 15 minutes
- Let cool, and cut into bars
