Thanksgiving Table Craft for Kids to make

Here’s what you’ll need for this Thanksgiving Craft…
- An apple with a nice flat bottom
- battery operated tea light
- scissors
- brown thick paper for face
- smaller paper orange triangle for the beak
- 2 google eyes
- feathers
- Gobble – a red piece of paper
- hot or warm glue gun with glue sticks
- Butter knife
- optional: lemon or lime juice
Instructions:
*Note – because the apple is perishable, it is best to do this the morning of Thanksgiving
- Make the turkey face by cutting out a circle, gluing the eyes, beak, and wobble
- Glue the face on the front of the apple
- Glue feathers to the back
- Holding the apple, use a butter knife, or something similar – carve out a hole large enough for the tea light to sit-in
- *you can remove the candle to rinse the white part of the apple under lemon or lime juice to prevent browning
- And…there you have it…an easy-to-do Thanksgiving table decoration for everyone to enjoy
