Ingredients

- 12 oz. red jello (cherry, strawberry, raspberry, or any red flavor)
- 4 cups of water – 2 hot and 2 cold
- Whipped cream
- Blue cotton candy
- Clear 9-oz plastic cups
- Printable Thing 1 & Thing 2 labels (grab from this post)
How to Make Thing One & Thing Two Jello Cups
Prepare the Jello
Make the Jello – Heat 2 cups of water so that it is hot enough to dissolve the Jello. Pour the Jello into the hot water and mix until dissolved. Add the other 2 cups of cold water.
Pour into a greased dish – I used a 10×10 dish.
Refrigerate for at least four hours, or longer, until Jello had set.
Label the Cups
Attach your printable Thing 1 and Thing 2 circles to the cups.
Cut into jigglers
Once the Jello had fully set, cut the jello into small cubes.
Fill the cups
Add the Jello cubes into each clear cup until mostly full.
Add whipped cream
Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
Add the “hair”
Place a fluffy piece of blue cotton candy on top to create Thing One and Thing Two’s signature hair.
Serve right away (cotton candy will shrink if stored too long).
Helpful Tips
- Assemble right before serving so the cotton candy stays fluffy
- Let kids choose their own Jell-O flavor
- You can use store-bought Jell-O cups to save time
- These travel well to school if you add the whipped cream and cotton candy at the last minute
