Here’s what you’ll need to make these chocolate spoons.
- plastic party spoons
- melting chocolates – you can use chocolate bark, chocolate melts, or chocolate chips
- dehydrated marshmallows
- sprinkles – some suggestions would be, fall leaves, fall jimmies, toffee sprinkles
- chocolate candy – fall colors like yellow, brown, and orange M&Ms
- wax paper
Tips and tricks for making these hot chocolate spoons:
- use wax paper to place spoons with warm chocolate onto
- you can let spoons air dry until they are firm or pop them in the refrigerator for about 1 minute to hurry the process
- place decorations on while the chocolate is warm
- store spoons in a zip-tight bag for up to 3 weeks – at room temperature

Fall Hot Chocolate Spoons
Equipment
- 12 plastic spoons
- wax paper
Ingredients
- 12 oz. chocolate melts or chocolate bark – 2 squares
Topping suggestions:
- ¼ cup sprinkles fall leaves
- ¼ cup toffee sprinkles
- ¼ cup dehydrated mini marshmallows
- ¼ cup jimmies fall colors
Instructions
- place wax paper on your work surface
- melt chocolate in a small glass microwavable proof bowl
- *typically, I melt chocolate for 1 minute, stir with a silicone spoon and if it’s not smooth – microwave for 30 more seconds
- dip spoons, one at a time, into the bowl filling the spoon with chocolate
- tap the spoons on the edge of the bowl, allowing excess chocolate to drip off of the bottom
- slide the spoon across the edge to get even more excess chocolate off of the spoon
For leaves:
- sprinkle leaves onto the melted chocolate
Toffee Spoons:
- sprinkle toffee sprinkles onto the melted chocolate
- add some dehydrated marshmallows too
Jimmies:
- sprinkle jimmies and add some mini dehydrated marshmallows
M&Ms:
- place fall colored M&Ms onto the melted chocolate

- place hardened chocolate spoons into zip-tight bags and store at room temperature for up to 3 weeks
