Mother’s Day Cookbook Keepsake from School

I’m so excited to share this one with you… because it’s something I’ve held onto for years.
This little Mother’s Day cookbook is one of those gifts that ends up meaning so much more over time. It’s simple, it’s sweet, and it’s something I’ll always keep in my kitchen 💛
My daughter brought this home from her Kindergarten class, and I remember flipping through it thinking… this is the cutest thing ever.

A Look Inside
Each child had their own page with:
- their favorite foods
- little “recipes” (or their version of them 😂)
- and the sweetest thoughts about their moms
One of my favorite parts?
My daughter’s “recipe” memories were all about the breakfasts I made for her…
👉 which, at the time, were mostly Eggo waffles 😅

The Sweetest Little Details
There’s a page that lists all of the kids as “ingredients.”
And directions that read like a recipe for a classroom
It’s one of those things that’s:
- a little funny
- a little messy
- and completely perfect

Finally, a drawing of mom and child to treasure

Why I Love This So Much
It’s not fancy.
It’s not something you’d ever go out and buy.
But it captures a moment in time —
their handwriting, their thoughts, their little personalities.
And that’s what makes it so special.
Such a Thoughtful Classroom Idea for Moms
Hopefully you can use this idea as inspiration to make a similar class project for moms
