This is an easy-to-make spiderweb cupcake for Halloween. Spiderwebs are an easy food decoration for any Halloween dessert. All you’ll need are frosted cupcakes and decorating gel to make these fun Halloween treats.
Easy Spiderweb Cupcakes
Halloween treats are some of my favorite fun food craft creations. I love all of the fun designs you can create, like Ghost Meringues that are perfect for any Halloween party, fun Halloween cookies from monster cookies to mummy cookies, and Candy Corn Fruit Parfait.
These spiderweb cupcakes couldn’t be any easier to make. They only require decorating gel over a frosted cupcake, a toothpick, and a steady hand.
Ingredients
- Cupcakes
- White frosting
- A squeeze tube of black frosting gel
Step by Step Instructions on Making Spiderweb Cupcakes
Frost your cupcake with white frosting as a nice contrast to the black gel
Use the black decorating gel to make a target on your cupcake with a dot in the center and two circles around the center dot with space in between the circles and the center dot.
Take a toothpick and drag it from the center dot to the outside of the circle, going all the way through the outside circle to the edge of the cupcake. You’ll do this evenly spaced around the cupcake, making eight different lines.
Use a paper towel to wipe toothpick clean when it is needed
Accessories
Use plastic spiders to decorate the web
Variation
Make dark cupcakes with a white web. Frost cupcakes with dark chocolate frosting and white decorating gel to make a white spiderweb. Make several cupcakes with half white frosting and black webs and the other half dark cupcakes with a white web.
Make Ahead and Storage
Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days
