This Flower Vase Craft is easy to make and sentimental. It lasts for years and years, so you only have to make it once. A great idea for Mother’s Day or even for an End of Year Teacher Gift!
Flower Vase Craft
Seriously! Doesn’t this look like their hands, handing you flowers from the yard?
These are my little guy’s handprints. He’s always bringing in flowers from my landscaping. I never get upset that he’s completely plucking the flowers from the house, because I know this stage won’t last forever, and my heart melts every time.
I just love handprint crafts. They are my way to preserving my kid’s cute little hands forever.
As a matter of fact, I’ve done several variations throughout the years. Like this Paper Plate Sunflower Craft, or this adorable Lamb Handprint Craft, and Lamb Handprint Craft
- A large sheet of green foam
- Scissors
- A clear plastic cup – I used a tall skinny 5 oz. cup
- Warm glue gun and glue sticks or my favorite alternative glue Fabri-tac
- Vase fillers for weight
Now:
- Just trace the child’s hand about 3 times onto the foam
- Cut the handprints out
- Glue them around the cup
- Add some vase fillers for weight
- Fill with flowers and water!
- That’s It! You are done, my friend!
