Spanish Moss Bird Nest

Spanish Moss – You can order Spanish moss online or buy it at most local craft stores.

A Small Bowl for the nest mold – The size can vary to fit your needs. Ten years ago, I used an ashtray that I found at the Dollar Store. This was over a decade ago, and I have no idea where it is. This time, I used an assortment of bowls from my kitchen cabinet. I wanted a mini nest for my Easter tree and larger nets for display.

Try to push the center down to look like a bowl. Don’t worry if moss sticks up and out because you can trim that later.

Apply your Paper Mache paste to the Spanish Moss. Make sure you put enough on that it will go through the layers of moss – all the way to the bottom and sides of the bowl.
