Are you ready to make this delicious sauce? Let’s see if you have all of the ingredients…
Ingredients:
(full recipe below)
- 29 oz. of tomato sauce – You will cook this down to reduce it and cook out some of the liquid. It should thicken up as it reduces and liquid is evaporated
- 4 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce – This is a key flavor ingredient. It really adds flavor to the pizza sauce
- 1 tsp. Sugar – Sugar will add a hint of sweet taste to this sauce, which I love
- 1 Tbsp. dried sweet basil – Basil is one of my favorite Italian seasonings to use. If you have fresh basil, you can substitute for the dried basil
- 1 tsp. Garlic salt – Don’t overdo it with this seasoning. Garlic salt means business, and if you add too much, your recipe will quickly become too salty
- 1/4 tsp. Pepper – Ground black pepper adds a little bit of heat to any dish
- 1/2 tsp. Oregano—Oregano is another herb that is often used in Italian recipes. If you do not like Oregano, you can substitute basil, and the same goes for basil.
- 1 tsp. onion powder
