I am in a Sandwich for dinner kind of mood! Of course I looked to Pinterest for inspiration! Where else would I go? I immediately noticed some Jalapeno Popper sandwiches. Yep…they called to me! They looked amazing! I was thinking I could use the recipe I made some last summer on the grill – Stuffed Jalapenos Wrapped In Bacon. These sandwiches were Grilled Cheese Jalapeno Pepper Deliciousness! Simply Amazing! Here’s the recipe!:
You’ll Need: Makes 6 Servings
- 6 Jalapeno peppers
- 1 (8oz.) package of cream cheese
- 1 Garlic Bulb
- Olive Oil – about 1 T
- 1/8 cup of Shredded – Parmesan Cheese
- 2 T Worcestershire sauce
- 6 slices 0f Smoked Provolone cheese
- 12 slices of 9 grain bread
- Butter for spreading
Now:
- Set the oven to 425 degrees
- Peel the loose skin off of the garlic. Cut the top off of the garlic, and place it in the center of a large piece of aluminum foil. Pull the foil up and around the garlic, pour the olive oil over the garlic. Salt the top of the garlic
- Close the foil
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until garlic is soft
- Cut the tops off of the Jalapeno Peppers. Cut them in half, and use a knife to get rid of the seeds, and the ribs
- Place those on a baking sheet, skin side up and broil for a few minutes – until the tops are charred a little
- Let those cool, then peel the skins off
- Grab a small bowl, and add the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and the Roasted garlic
- Mix together
- Spread butter on 2 slices of bread, place one butter side down on a non-stick skillet – over med/high heat
- Add a slice of provolone
- 2 sliced of bacon
- spread a large spoonful of cream cheese mixture, add 2 pieces of Jalapeno peppers, top with other slice of buttered bread
- Grill! & repeat with the rest of the bread! Enjoy!
