This dip is a teensy-weensy bit spicy. For me, the spicier the better.

As you see, I made this dip in an iron skillet, but you can easily make it on a low setting of your slow cooker. It will probably be ready to eat within a few hours.

Tips and tricks for this Queso Dip Recipe:

  • this dip can thicken up as it cools off, to thin it out, add more cream and reheat
  • serve warm – keep skillet or slow cooker on a low setting to keep the dip warm
  • you can serve it with tortilla chips or Frito chips
  • store leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week
  • to reheat, add more cream and heat on low – stirring occasionally

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 16 oz. Salsa Verde
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 oz. green chiles drained
  • ½ cup half and half

Instructions

  • Place everything into a sauce pan over medium heat or into a slow cooker on low heat, and warm until cheeses blend together
  • Mix well
  • Serve with tortilla chips

Notes

Slow Cooker Method:
  • cook on low for 2-3 hours
Best when served immediately.
If dip thickens up too much, reheat and add more half & half to thin it out, again
