Wow! This apple is irresistible! And it’s so simple to do. This is a great idea for an afternoon snack, tea with the girls, or a fancy dessert! Imagine an apple wrapped in buttery crescent dough, baked until the apple is tender but crisp, and filled with oozing caramel! Mmm…Mmm…Good Stuff! Here’s the how to:

You’ll Need:

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples – cored
    1 package of buttery flake Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough
    Hershey’s Caramel ice cream topping – 14 0z.
  • Baked Caramel Apple With Flaky Crescent Crust
  • Using a sharp knife hallow the apple enough to give it a cavity for plenty of caramel sauce, but still leaving enough apple flesh to enjoy with the caramel!
  • Baked Caramel Apple With Flaky Crescent Crust
  • Unroll the crescent dough and use 2 triangles to completely cover the outside of the apple – pushing the pieces of dough together
  • Baked Caramel Apple With Flaky Crescent Crust
  • Place the apples on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 – 25 minutes – just until the dough is cooked through and golden
  • The apple will be soft but still crisp

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Using a sharp knife hallow the apple enough to give it a cavity for plenty of caramel sauce, but still leaving enough apple flesh to enjoy with the caramel!
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and use 2 triangles to completely cover the outside of the apple - pushing the pieces of dough together
  4. Place the apples on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 - 25 minutes - just until the dough is cooked through and golden
  5. The apple will be soft but still crisp
  6. Remove from the oven and fill the middle with caramel sauce - It's optional to heat the caramel sauce, beffore filling the apple
  7. Serve Immediately while it's still warm. Enjoy
