Easter crafts, with their bright and cheery colors, are a welcome craft in spring. It’s so nice to see cheerful pastel crafts in the house like paper mache eggs, fabric Easter eggs, and Easter graham cracker houses.

This Mason Jar gift idea is an easy craft to make with the kids or make them up for your guests as an Easter hostess gift.

Why you’ll love this look

  • INEXPENSIVE – You shoulde be able to find the chocolate bunnies and grass at the Dollor Tree. The mason jars should be pretty inexpensive too.
  • PRETTY – This mason jar gift is full of color and cheer. It combines the nostalgia of a mason jar and the excitement of Easter candy all in one gift .
  • EASY – This is such an easy craft to make. The kids can absolutely help with this fun Easter craft.

Supplies Needed

  • Mason Jars
  • Green shredded paper – you can find this at most superstores like Walmart or Target. The Dollar Tree usually has a wide array of shredded paper.
  • Easter egg candies – like peanut M&M eggs
  • Chocolate Easter Bunnies – I used Pastel Easter Peanut M&Ms. I thought they had the brightest colors, but you should be able to find many chocolate Easter egg options.
  • raffia – I like the rustic look of raffia, but you should be able to find lots of ribbon options for spring or Easter

Variations

Customize the Lid – Add a cute Easter pattern card stock over the seal. Cut it in a circle shape to fit the lid. Place it over the seal, and close the screw band over the mason jar. Write names onto the top of the jars or an Easter message

Ribbon – Instead of raffia, use a colorful pastel ribbon or Easter patterned ribbon

FAQs

I would not recommend using coconut in this craft. The moisture from the coconut will change the texture of the chocolate eggs and Easter bunny.

Yes! This Easter Gift can be made several days in advance making it a convenient homemade gift to make.

Storing

If the room is climate-controlled, store it at room temperature for up to one week

If the house is too hot, you’ll risk melting your bunny. I would not recommend storing these in a car.
