Toilet Paper Snowman

I love making unique Christmas Crafts. When I saw a similar plunger snowman online, I knew I had to recreate it give it as my Christmas present at our White Elephant Gift Exchange this year. There was no tutorial on making it, so I gathered some supplies I thought might work from Amazon and got to work! I love how it turned out and can’t wait to share the instructions on making a plunger snowman. Another craft I made from a similar circumstance was how to make a reindeer family out of towels. I’m always amazed at people’s creative ideas, like this Candy Bar Snowman with gloves and mittens.

Supplies You’ll Need

supplies for snowman plunger craft
  • Toilet Paper – You might have to adjust the amount. I used 4 toilet paper rolls because the plunger I ordered was 18 inches, and 4 rolls fit the length of the wooden pole. You might only use 3. It will all depend on how tall the toilet paper is and the plunger. I used Sam’s Club brand of toilet paper
  • Plunger – I bought a set of inexpensive plungers on Amazon so I could make a few snowmen
  • Cellophane Wrapping paper – I found a roll of cellophane on Amazon that worked nicely. You’ll want it to be tall enough to cover the plunger pole and toilet paper with some left to tie up nicely
  • Twistie Tie – I always save my twist ties from bread and other purchases. I just used one I had in my pantry to close the cellophane wrapper
  • Stickers – Snowman face stickers. I found these snowman stickers to use on my craft. If you have cricut, you could also design your own. I also saw something on an Etsy shop that included the face and body which would be the easiest
  • Vinyl Adhesive – This vinyl adhesive is what I used to cut out the buttons and the boots to build the snowman body
  • A winter cap – I found a set of inexpensive winter caps and inexpensive beanies with pom-poms. I liked having more than one to use to make a few fun toilet paper plunger snowmen.
  • Clear tape

Equipment Needed

You’ll probably need scissors to cut the cellophane wrapping paper

Instructions

Place your plunger on top of your work surface

Place toilet paper over the plunger pole – I used 4 rolls. The top toilet paper roll should cover the pole or cover it mostly.

Cut the cellophane wrapper so that it fully wraps around the toilet paper rolls and can be taped to seal it.

Using the black vinyl adhesive, cut out your snowman’s boots. Mine are 3 inches tall by 3 inches wide. Adjust yours so that it fits your bottom roll of toilet paper.

Using the same vinyl adhesive, cut the 3 buttons. I cut mine about 1 inch in diameter.

Place the boots and buttons on your bottom rolls – leaving the top alone for the snowman’s face.

The boots should be facing outward.
