How Do You Make Oatmeal Bars with Chocolate Chips?
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Using a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar together
- Add eggs and vanilla
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt
- Mix dry and wet ingredients together
- Fold in the oatmeal and chocolate chips
- Press the batter into an ungreased baking pan
- Bake for 30 minutes

- After the oatmeal bars have cooled, then cut them into 12 bars. Store into an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.

Ingredients
- ½ lb. softened (2 sticks of butter)
- 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1&1/2 cups flour all-purpose
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. salt
- 3 cups Quaker Oats – Quick or Old Fashioned – uncooked
- 1 cup mini milk chocolate chips such as Hershey’s
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a medium bowl, Beat the butter and sugars together until creamy
- Add the eggs, and vanilla, mix together
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, and mix well
- Fold in the Oatmeal, and Chocolate Chips
- Press into an ungreased 9×13 baking pan
- Bake for 30 minutes
- Check doneness by inserting a toothipick into the middle. If it comes out clean they are probably ready.
