Brats and Sauerkraut {Foil Packet}
Ingredients
- 4 bratwurst fully-cooked
- 4 hot dog buns or brat buns
- ⅓ cup green bell pepper chopped
- ¼ cup sweet onion chopped
- 1 tsp. yellow mustard
- ½ tsp. caraway seed
- ¾ cup sauerkraut drained
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the pepper, onion, sugar, mustard, caraway, and sauerkraut
- mix well
- cut 2 long pieces of foil – about 16 inches in length and stack them
- place the mixture into the center of the foil and add the bratwurst on top
- fold the foil into a tent pack
- Cook on the preheated grill – medium heat, above direct heat
- Close the lid and cook for about 15 minutes
- Turn brats over a couple of times during cooking
- Serve bratwurst on buns with some of the sauerkraut mixtures
