The kids can’t get enough of these DIY Bubble Blowers. I first made one for my 6-year-old to have fun with. As soon as the kids saw how much fun he was having with his bubble maker, we were in the kitchen raiding the Tupperware bin for more Bubble Making Blower Machines.

I know I say this all of the time, but I love the simple things in life. When you are planning a party or entertaining kids in any form or fashion…who has time for complicated?
This bubble blower couldn’t be easier to make. I used an old lunch meat container in my food container cabinet and a few other supplies to make this with the kids.
After adding a few fun stickers, the kids were making bubbles in the backyard. So fun!
How do you make a bubble solution without glycerin?
- You can substitute light corn syrup or honey for glycerin in bubble-making recipes
What can I use for a bubble blower container? Here are some ideas…
- food storage container with lid
- plastic cup and a mesh cover for the lid – like the mesh from onion or potato bags and a rubber band to hold it
- a plastic coffee container with a lid
Tips and tricks for your bubble maker:
- you can add food coloring to the water for colorful bubbles
- adding sugar in the form of corn syrup or honey – or adding glycerin will make the bubbles last longer before popping
- you can place the lid back on with the hole on either side – the bubbles will still come out of the top
- make sure the bubble solution of water and soap are below the hole on the side – otherwise, the solution might spill out\
- we think that adding fun stickers adds to the enjoyment of the bubble maker
- to secure the straw, you can add tape

Instructions:
- Punch a hole in one end of the container – near the top and one more on the lid – near the edge of one of the narrow sides
- Optional – Decorate the container and lid
- Add a couple of teaspoons of dish detergent and add water to just “below” the hole in the side of the container
