Ingredients You’ll Need

Veggie Portion:
- butter
- green pepper

Chicken Portion:
- white cooking wine
- chicken breasts
- bay leaves
- water
Sauce:
- more butter
- flour
- salt
- ground pepper
- milk
- chicken broth
- pimento-stuffed green olives
Biscuits:
- Pillsbury refrigerated buttery biscuits
How to Make Chicken Ć la King
- Bake the biscuits according to the package directions.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, add 1 Tbsp. of butter over medium heat
- Add mushrooms and pepper and cook until tender

- In another skillet, add the white wine, chicken breasts, and bay leaves
- Cook over medium to high heat until the wine comes to a boil. Then, turn the heat down to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through.

- The Wine will evaporate, but you should have some browned, cooked-down wine in your skillet.

- While the chicken is cooking, add 1 Tbsp. Of butter (over medium/high heat) to the cooked vegetables
- Immediately add 1 Tbsp. of flour, salt, and pepper to the melted butter and mix into a paste

- Add the milk mixed with 2 Tbsp. of flour, and chicken broth, distributing them evenly throughout the vegetables.

- Remove bay leaves and chicken from the other skillet
- Throw bay leaves away and cube the chicken

- Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan and stir, scraping up all the good stuff from the bottom of the pan.
- Pour those juices into the gravy mixture and cook until thickened.
- If you need to thicken the gravy further, mix one tablespoon of flour with one tablespoon of milk and add it to your gravy. Cook the mixture until it reaches the desired thickness.
- Cook until the gravy is thickened.
- Fold in chicken and 1/2 cup of sliced pimento-stuffed green olives
- To serve, open the biscuits up and pour the chicken mixture over the biscuits

- ½ cup pimento olives whole or sliced
