Ballerina Cupcakes

I love how easy these cute ballerina cupcakes are. I’ve seen a picture of these adorable cupcakes floating around in the web-o-sphere, but there aren’t any instructions on how to make them. I’ve made plenty of fun treats that involve marshmallows, so I knew exactly what to do to recreate the cute ballet cupcakes that everyone loves so much. They are so simple. You’ll be able to make dozens of them in a snap.

Today, I’m excited to share how to make ballerina cupcakes, but if you are looking for cute and easy cupcakes to make for the next birthday party, then take a look at my posts for making a flower cupcake, butterfly cupcakes, and this cute Minnie Mouse Cupcake.

Expert Tips

I like the mini cupcake skirt better when it’s a little crumpled. To achieve this look, push the folds in so it looks crinkled.

Adjust the height of the toothpick to lift the skirt off the frosting so the toothpick is visible.

Variation

Instead of a cupcake wrapper, use tulle fabric to make a fun ballerina skirt.

What to Serve With

FAQs

What frosting tip should I use to decorate ballerina cupcakes?

I like to use a star tip. It’s easy to use and looks fancy. Just squeeze the frosting out onto the cupcake, lift the tip, and stop squeezing so the frosting stops coming out of the tip. Repeat until the whole cupcake is covered.

What type of cupcake wrapper should I use for making ballerina cupcakes?

I like to use fancy paper wrappers or pretty pink foil-lined cupcake wrappers.

Storage

These cupcakes are tall, so you’ll probably need to use a storage container and plastic wrap to store the cupcakes.

I would suggest serving these cupcakes within a day, as the marshmallows will either take on humidity and get wet or do the opposite and dry out.
